Dynamic Dance Co. Fall Updates

At our open houses we will be giving tours of our facility, showing how our registration site works, presenting our website, meeting instructors, and will be explaining how our seven week fall session will run by going over our curriculum and our dynamic levels program.

For those of you who are familiar with Dynamic Dance Company you’ll know that the past couple of years we have solely focused on our Senior Elite Team, but this season our groups will be taking a break from competitions. With how much the corona virus has affected our studio during the past two seasons, we have decided we are going to use this year to take everything we have learned and focus on growing as a studio and as dancers. We want to ensure our dancers have the time to work through the curriculum we have built. We do not want dancers to feel rushed rehearsing competition routines while learning all the skills and technique it takes to be a part of our elite competition teams here at DDC.

Our three week summer session was our chance to assess new dancers' abilities so we were certain they would be placed in the correct class for this fall session. At Dynamic we push to make sure all of the dancers are placed in the most appropriate class for them - the class that will push them to work hard while learning at the same pace as each other. We look at our dancers as athletes. We want to ensure all dancers have that drive and determination before they are placed into the competition world. If you are familiar with dance you might already know that dance competitions can get pricey, so why pay all that money unless you know your dancer is an athlete in training that has the passion to succeed!

With adding our recreational classes this season, we plan to only keep our Mini Elite and Senior Elite Teams. We will begin our Spring session in February starting up with evaluation week for our returning dancers and open houses for our new dancers. Any dancers returning from our 2021 Fall and/or Summer session have the chance during evals week to audition for our Elite Teams 2022 - 2023 season and join their practices for the Spring session.

In the Spring, any recreational dancer that is planning to audition for one of our elite teams will continue working through our Dynamic Levels program as well as attend conventions and solo competitions during our 2022 Fall Competition Season. We ask that families please keep in mind that dancers can still get cut during auditions from making one of our Elite Teams but will get another chance to audition in the Fall of 2022. Being more selective of who is ready for our company's Elite Competition Team is what we feel makes us a company and differentiates us from any other studio in the Madison area. It allows us to have smaller classes with more one to one work which really shows us the dancers who are willing to put in the work inside and outside of rehearsals and who are constantly improving as a dancer.

Corona Virus Updates:

We are still taking precautions due to the coronavirus pandemic that has hit us. As of right now we are requiring dancers to wear masks due to the mandate made by the CDC. We have a temp check station for when dancers enter our facility and ask that you please stay home if you have any cold-like symptoms.
